These limitations in resources can increase social injustice, where disadvantaged communities have a harder time recovering. The importance of investing in disaster-resilient infrastructure is also increasingly recognized. Hurricane-resistant buildings can reduce economic and social damage. In addition, strengthening ecosystems such as mangrove forests and coral reefs can function as a natural barrier against storm surges and floods. Together with mitigation efforts, public education regarding disaster resilience is very important. Programs that raise awareness about typhoon risks, along with actions that can be taken to protect ourselves and the environment, contribute to creating more resilient communities.
